The "Truck Trip Location Update" Screen is designed to track and log location updates of trucks during their trips. It allows users to manually or automatically update and view the truck's location details, including timestamps. GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) and additional comments.
1. Introduction
The "Truck Trip Location Update" document is used to store and manage location updates for trucks during their trips. It contains fields for time stampting, location details, GPS cooridinates, comments, and the type of update (manual or GPS). This screen ensures that all updates are recorded and can be reviewed at any time, helping fleet managers track the movements of their trucks.
Fields Explanation
Timestamp
The date and time of the location update.
Location
The name or description of the location.
Longitude
The longitude of the location (GPS Coordinate.)
Latitude
The latitude of the location (GPS Coordinate)
Comment
Additional comments about the location update.
Type of Update
Specifies if the update is a manual entry or a GPS update.
View on Map
Button to view the location on a map.
3. How to Use
Logging a Location Update
Navigate to the form or table where the "Truck Trip Location Update" is embedded.
To add a new location update, click the "Add Row" button.
Fill in the following fields:
Timestamp: Enter the current date and time, or choose from the date picker.
Location: Enter the name or description of the truck's location.
Longitude and Latitude: If available, enter the GPS coordinates for precise tracking.
Comment: Add any relevant comments regarding the update.
Type of Update: The field will automatically default to "Manual Update" or "GPS Update," depending on the input method.
Once all the details are filled in, the system will automatically save the update.
